Haven't a clue what to do.

I'm on VZW with an upgrade available on 3/31. My actual 2 years aren't up untill August. So I'm wondering if I should go with a Rezound/Razr Maxx/GN or wait untill July/Aug and see what VZW comes out with by then? All I can envision is the Fighter for now.

BTW this will be my first smartphone so I have no idea which is better overall.

It's all about person choice... Samsung, Motorola, HTC and even LG is starting to make a presence in VZW's smartphone collection. All of the phones you listed are all from these manufacturers... HTC has the Rezound, Motorola has the Razr Maxx and Samsung has the GN. The GN will or should have the latest and greatest version the latest and greatest Android operating system, or what we usually call a ROM. The Rezound is one HTC's latest, but as you stated the Fighter will be out soon. And the Razr Maxx has the largest stock battery of any manufacturer right now, and they have always been known for excellent radio's (not the car radio, but how the smartphone gets it's data and talks to the cell phone towers).

Smartphones of today are a lot like PC's and laptops have been over the past 10 or 15 years... wait a day or two and they will come out with something a little better and a little more appealing. There is always going to be something a little better just after you buy one... sooner or later you just have to pick one and go with it. Look at the reviews of the current devices here on Android Central... it's a great place to hear and see what they look like... at least the ones that are out.
