Hello everyone, I'm really hoping the geniuses here at the Android Central Forums can shed some light on this issue I'm having with my battery.
Last week, I noticed that when my completely stock & unrooted GSM Galaxy Nexus was docked/charging, the daydream wasn't coming on. I checked and made sure it was switched on, which it was. I didn't give it much thought, and just planned on a reboot fixing it. I undocked, put the phone in my pocket, and minutes later I took my phone from my pocket and when I reached the lock screen I noticed it read "Charging" and the battery display at the top indicated a charging state. Upon further investigation it is now clear that when I dock my Nexus, plug it in, or even use a car charger, it takes several minutes at times for it to begin charging, and as such, the daydream never starts as well. When it is unplugged/undocked, it takes minutes for device to show it has been unplugged. I turned my phone off yesterday, and with the device powered off and unplugged, the screen shows the white battery charging indicator. Not surprisingly a factory reset did not fix the issue. Could it simply be a battery issue or is there something wrong deeper in the system? I am going to be upgrading to the Nexus 4 in a couple weeks and would like my Galaxy Nexus to be working 100%, as I would love to give it to my fiance as a huge upgrade from the POS Straight Talk slider she's currently using.
Thanks for reading, I appreciate everyone's thoughts and input, and hopefully we can get this issue figured out because it is QUITE annoying!
Thanks!
