Having an Issue booting into CWR

having an issue with the Nexus 7. Followed the manual root and unlock, all went well but when I go to boot into recovery from rom manager I get the android with a red explamation point. I had to use wugfesh tool to get it back.
Am I doing something wrong?

In RM first hit Flash recovery, then boot into recovery.

Problem is your recovery isn't sticking. You need to use something like Root Explorer to go into /system and rename the file "recovery-from-boot.p" to "recovery-from-boot.p.bak". Afterwards your custom recovery will stick

I did flash recovery.. Successfully.
