TF card on tablet issue

Having an issue with copying certain files to android tablet TF card. Android 14, tried two different cards both SanDisk.

Was able to copy movies to a directory I created with little/no issue. I'm in developer mode.

Wanted to copy images from my android camera (phone Samsung) to my tablet. Shows the directory and says copy but nothing happens. Tried this under the DCIM directory. Into a new directory I was able to create.

Tried to create a directory in root of the TF card and no issue creating the directory. Tried to copy a single file says copying but nothing copies. I have TB of free space on the card.

Tried other docs and txt files same thing says copying and nothing moves. On USB set to file transfer.

Help logically this makes zero sense to me. Cards were formated by tablet EXTFAT 32.

Hope someone has a answer/suggestion.

Welcome to Android Central! Where did you get the cards? If they were from a random online seller and super-cheap, there's a good chance they're counterfeit (meaning they're much smaller than they claim to be). Try one of the tests here: How to Spot a Fake MicroSD Card and Avoid Being Scammed
