Having issues need suggestions.

I am having a few problems with my device. I bought it the day it came out and wanted to know if I should keep it or not. It worked great for the first 2 weeks but now I am having issues with it. First it has reset a few times on me but only a few times. Then I was getting the issue where the mic cuts out and I can't have a conversation for a while which seems like a lot of people have that issue. Next is sometimes my sound doesn't work for videos or music but works for ringtones or text. The last thing is my back light won't change or changes for a second then goes back even if I manually do it. I am hoping these are software issues but not sure what I should do. I a lot of people seem to be having the same issues even after getting a refurb from verizon. What are your suggestions before I bring it back. It seems like all software stuff but who knows when a fix will come out for it.

Volume control between the ringtones and media volume are separate, so do you have the volume turned down and not realize it or does it change on it's own. You could try doing a factory reset (settings-->backup and reset-->factory data reset) since that will probably be suggested if you try to get a replacement phone. This may take care of you problems, but it may not. This will wipe everything though, so just be aware of that and save any pictures or other files you want to keep.

I have checked the volume and both were turned all the way up. Sometimes the sound will go on and then cut out. I have been doing a lot of reading and even with a factory reset they are still having some of the same problems. I am stuck and not sure if I should return it for a replacement or get a new phone all together.
