I'm having issues where I can't send pics or gifs through texts anymore on my stock Axon 7. I did get an error that the message was too large which doesn't make sense because I tried sending the exact picture I successfully sent several days ago. The issue started 2 days ago and I cannot figure out why. I went through my data settings and didn't see anything that would limit it.

Does anyone have ideas on how to fix this. I use Textra but also tried to send it on the stock messenger app and still no luck.

Please and thank you.

Hello I've got the same problem. I've checked the limit of size (French phone line) : is 600k.
Strangely some pictures heavier pass some dosen't.

Each carrier has its own limit on the maximum size of the allowed picture or video inside a MMS. Ideally, the software will know the limits and automatically compress them before sending. But given that this is an unlocked phone not tied to any carrier, you just have to do it yourself.

Do you know what settings I need to change to get it back to working? Because it worked fine for the past year until earlier this week and then all of a sudden, it stopped.

EDIT: I figured it out. The file size was set to 'Carrior has no limit." I didn't realize it was a compression setting. Thought it was just telling me that the carrier doesn't limit my size.

Thanks for your help.
