Having trouble communicating with play.google.com won't add an account

My [language redacted by Mod] stupid phone every time I try to add an account it keeps saying having trouble communicating with play.google.com

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Are you connected to a valid wi-fi network? Have you tried connecting to a different wi-fi network?

Have you tried using a web browser, and logging out of the account you're in, then adding another account? (You can't add an account to Play that doesn't already exist in Google.)
