I've already tried searching for methods for removing the main Google account without doing a factory reset. Here is the method I've already tried without success.

- Changed Google Password.
- Stopped all "Google Services" in the "Application Manager".
- Restarted phone.
- After a reboot, the phone ask me to enter my gmail password. I just ignore this prompt and go into "Accounts and Sync".
- When I open my main Google account, there is a "Remove Account" option that I select. Here is the message I get:
This account is required by some applications. You can only remove it by resetting the phone to factory defaults (which deletes all your personal data). You do that in the Settings application, under Privacy.

My phone is not rooted. I just simply want to remove the main account (without having to do a factory reset) and sync another account to the phone. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

You cannot remove the main account. You can however add another account and sync it. If you really need to fully get out of the main account, the factory reset is what you will need to do.

Yep, have to do a reset. Sorry Sir.
