Having troubles pairing my Gear 3 and Note 9

I've had no problems whatsoever connecting my Frontier to the Note 9.
I did have the Frontier already backed up on my Samsung account, so resetting it and then pairing it to my Note 9 happened easily and quickly.
All my watch faces appeared on the phone and being using them just fine since Thursday.
 
I purchased a Sprint Note 9, paid for it, had it unlocked and switched to Verizon for the senior plan. Ok. Then I went to Verizon to purchase the new Samsung smartwatch. We tried and tried to get it to work but no doing. It seems the phone is on roaming all the time and the watch wouldn't connect to a roaming phone. Even tech support tried and no go. I'm really frustrated. Any help for me?
