HBO-GO Not Working

I purchased Note 10.1 (2014 Ed.) a couple of days ago for mainly academic reasons. Tried watching an episode of HBO series yesterday, it won't go passed buffering saying "this is is only audio stream. Get a better wi-fi connection."

Searched the forums and found that it is an android 4.3 issue but should have been resolved. Not in my case.

I have Verizon Fios with 50mbs download and 25mbs upload. It works find on my iPad.

Anyone experiencing a same issue?

I discovered the answer to this as I was researching this tablet. Apparently it's not a Samsung issue but Hbogo does not work with high resolution android. Android is aware and working on a fix. It works fine on my tab3 because The tab 3 isn't high resolution.

Have you tried a restart after the install? I had the same problem and a restart fixed it.

@shooperman, you are getting hbo go to work on a galaxy note10.0 2014? What is the version. Of android on the tablet? I've not heard or seen any confirmation that an update has been released yet that corrects this issue. I'd be very curious to know.

Never mind. After a restart I was able to see the "HBO Go" logo, and the movie rating, so I stopped there. I just tried again and it switched to an audio only stream after that...

Ahhh bummer, hopes are dashed.

So weird, both hbo and android HAVE to be aware of this issue, yet no mention from anyone when to expect a fix.

I really want to buy this tablet, but hbo go is an integral part of my tablet experience

The update also fixed playback issues on the Note 10.1. No more error message.

Cobravision? Are you saying there is an update that now hbogo works on the note 10.1 2014?

Hbogo running on this tablet independent of chromecast, on the tablet? As of yesterday hbo emailed me that they were aware and working on the issue.

Please confirm, if this is the case, that it now works

I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and after downloading the HBOGO app, I am still not able to
Watch shows or movies. It won't get past the buffering. It just returns to the previous page. Can you provide more specific details about how to find this update that fixes the problem?

It's just the newest version on Google Play. Whatever you just installed should work. Try uninstalling and reinstalling.

Tried that still nit working. Can't get past buffering. I looked in thr settings and it says I am running Android 4.2.2. Could that be the issue. Should I update to 4.3? Would be a real bummer if I can't get it to work. Thanks for any responses.

I can confirm it works on the Note 10.1. Don't know about the Tab 3.
