HBoot 1.5 downgrade to 1.4 Successful!

yeah im tired of using htc dumlock n using fastboot in the command prompts with hboot 1.50. It was fun at first but its a hassle now n im used to revolutionary method with e4g. I shouldve never switch my blk e3d for the white one because i was hboot 1.4 n thought 1.5 was gonna be fun.

I shouldve kept my blk evo 3d it was hboot 1.4. I switched for the white thinking hboot 1.50 was gonna be a fun challenge. Its a hassle.

Are you still bricked? If so are you retrying the live cd? Id like to see you resolve this!

do u know how to get the cpu to boot from cd before it boot from hard disk? That's like the only thing holding me back now.

Do you know how to get to bios? In bios there is a boot menu where you set your boot order, put your cdrom as the first item to boot

I dont know how to get the live cd to boot before it boots from hard dis while im in windows...I used Virtual box to open it but i cant use it because it dont read my bricked device and i read from the forums that virtual box cant be used.

When you FIRST turn on your computer (like 1 second after hitting the power button) you will see something that says hit f2 to enter setup (or f10 or f12 dont remember exactly) press that button that will take you into bios. Then find the menu that says Boot or Boot order or something of that nature and set the CD-Rom to be in the first boot spot

Ok on my pc i hit power, then i hit f2 to enter setup. That brungs up my bios.
Half way down the sceen is an option for boot sequence. I go to that menu and set my IDE CDrom to be in slot #1
Then save and exit and computer should reboot again.

When it starts to boot it will either go sttaight to the cd OR it might ask you to hit any button to boot from cd. if so press any key and let the cd boot up. The proceed with the instructions from closeones thread (and unknownforce's as necessary)

I found I had to download the temp root to be able to install the down grade. Try this link it is from XDA fourms http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=768941&d=1320212101, and this is the main link how too. [TUTORIAL] Temp ADB Root your EVO3D *Works with H-Boot 1.49.0011* - xda-developers I hope this will help someone, I had to do this to be able to run revolutionary
once I downloaded the temp I booted phone into hboot then flashed the zip and hat tem, I then went back and ran revolutionary and it ran.

I'm not aware of any app backups that don't require root, not saying it doesn't exsist just don't know of one.

The process is risky but fairly easy if you follow the steps carefully. AND well worth it!

Use Titanium Backup. It Works Perfectly Fine But Yu Have To Do a Temp Root First In Order To Be able To Back Up Your apps When you root
