Would I be able to use the HD Dock ($100) as a charger and internet USB device? In other words, plug in dock to an AC outlet and than run the USB from dock to PC? I find that the battery drains when plugged into USB if I use my phone screen while watching Netflix on the PC.

You should look into some cheaper prices for that thing. I've already noted down to $50 for the Razr one and would never pay $100 considering how laggy it was on the Bionic. At $50, its a decent value. Good question about whether usb from dock to PC. It would save a step unplugging from the dock and then putting into your mini-usb to usb, but I think I doubt it can do it.

Amazon has it for like 52, no tax and free shipping (?). Also, there's a livingsocial coupon $50 for $25. Also, Verizon stores themselves include a bundle where you get the HD dock, the car adapter (also $50 value) and some miscellaneous junk like extra chargers all together for $100. Also, it wasn't hard to qualify for corporate discount where they offered me that bundle for $75. When I say corporate, I don't mean that I work for Verizon, just a random hospital. Anybody would be a sucker to pay $100, it really still has lots of bugs and slow.

I agree, I mentioned the price as a reference to the higher end dock. I would never pay full price as I use Amazon for everything a d I have a 25% discount from Verizon.

I think your confusing the HD Dock with the HD Station. The dock comes with HDMI out, power, and aux ports, where the HD station comes with those, and the USB ports. The dock is $60, the Station is $100. Thats why you see that big price difference. Also, stupid verizon wouldnt give me a discount on the package bundle, so i just bought the hd and car dock alone. I didnt need the HDMI cable or those garbage pair of headphones.

I've been wondering about this: say I hook up the phone to my home theater through the hd dock. Could I use a bluetooth keyboard and surf the web from my couch through the home theater?

Yeah, sorry I confused the HD Station and Dock. I wonder if the Verizon bundle includes the Dock or the Station. Probably the Dock if the bundle's full price is still $100. I don't know your line of work and whether those webtop apps really make this worth it for you, but my opinion is that the device barely supports its value at $50 and only if you use it as an entertainment device: much too glitchy for work. On the Bionic, it was very glitchy, the EPS or persistence thing would occasionally fail, and would often freeze if you opened more than 2 windows. Also, clumsy navigation switching between different windows.
