HD video recording

The Samsung Fascinate is my first android phone and I think it is a killer phone. When exploring the phone I found that when recording HD video (1280x720) sometimes the video would go still for a second or two and then continue recording. I played the video back and that 1-2 seconds of stillness was there. Its not terrible and I do realize that with a much higher resolution video, that it puts some strain on the phone's processor or whatnot. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this and hopefully it will be fixed with the 2.2 update?

Consider it a "feature". I doubt there is a lot that can be done about the lag, its a phone with limited resources. If it bothers you, a standalone camcorder is the best bet.

All I can say is that it is near perfect compared to the 720p on the Incredible. Watching that is like watching seasons 1 or 2 of South Park.
