HDMI Adapter Question

Has anybody found a trouble free HDMI adapter... Need one that is plug and play with no silliness for person who is not a tech wizard...

Yes I know there was a old thread on line but I believe it may be somewhat outdated, so a new inquiry...

No. I tried several, way back then. What I found was that the way to go overall was Chromecast. With the newer version of the app, you can cast anything from the tablet, to the tv. Easy to set up, easy to use. I have 3 of them now.

Can Chromecast unit be fitted on end of HDMI cable?... On one of my TV its a accessibility problem and it would be easier to unplug it form satellite TV box...

Chromecast comes with an extended cable, for tv's with that accessibility issue. I had to use that on the tv in my office. The family room tv didn't need it.

I need to know the same. I just read the old topic that came up in Google and there were many different suggestions. I bought this wire thinking it would definitely work and it doesn't. Here is what I bought: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...th%3D%2Fproduct%3Fp_id%3D12395&token=YPNUuiNe. My tv is MHL compatible and so is this device so I don't get it. With this cord, it came up as trying to connect on the TV and it fails every time. Also, the lightning bolt that shows while charging the tablet turns red instead. There has to be a fix to this. I want to be able to play hearthstone from the tab to the tv

Chromecast definitely works.... Was in to local Costco other day and they had them for $28 so I got one, got home plugged everything in and in about 10 minutes it was up and working after a couple of false starts and a fresh (update) of Chromecast software for tablet .. Used short cable on unit to clear wall...

Only fly in ointment is seems DISH will not play most stuff (movies) on Dish Anywhere with out upping my options at probably a additional cost... But its a DISH provider/contract issue not a Chromecast/tablet issue...

Glad Chromecast works. But these shows you want on Dish, are they shows you were able to see before Chromecast, on tv, and just not available online online? Well enjoy Chromecast, I love them

Never looked at DISH Anywhere before getting tab.... Assume its just a another fee on my account for access....When It tells me I have to call 1-800-xxx-xxxx and talk to account rep, it only means cost to me in either hardware (Sling Box) or just pay addition charges for the "permission" to watch "anywhere"... Not to terribly concerned at this point, but will eventual call DISH and see what the damages ($$$) are....
