HDMI Notification will not go away

I used HDMI mirroring this morning to watch a movie with my daughter and now the notification that hdmi is. Connected will not go away any thoughts?

First thing I'd try is pulling down the notification bar to view all notifications and then tap on any hdmi entry; it might just disappear.

Could be related; If I switch to another video source on my monitor it can kill the hdmi connection to my phone, requiring an unplug then replug.

Not sure about the data com specs in hdmi, but there may be signal modes communicated by the monitor like: turn off hdmi (like what happens to me when I switch sources), turn on/off hdmi depending on video activity, or set hdmi to an always on state ( like whats happening to you ).

Different equipment combos will likely have very different results, I'm guessing.

Thanks! Nothing I did short of rebooting would make the notification go away! This was the first time I used the HDMI, so I will keep an eye on it in the future. Hopefully it was just a fluke. The HDMI mirroring was really cool.

I have the Droid Razr and I haven't even plugged mine into a Tv but I still have the same problem. the only way to make it go away is to shut down the Motorola Docking service and then it is still only temperary. for like 5 minutes. Please can anyone help me with this problem?

I have the same issue. Regardless of what I have tried, including a factory reset

I have this issue too, but no big deal. It doesn't effect the phones performance.

I also have the same problem. I got the droid razor right when it came out. So a month passses & it says im connected to the HDMI cable. I Cant watch videos or take pictures. I did the factor reset its still there. So i had to replace my phone. I got my new replaced Razor just 4 weeks ago, and the same thing happened again just yesterday. What can i do now? Help?
