HDMI on apex 1.4.1?

Im having a problem getting my monitor to pickup my hdmi from my phone. Im usinG Real HDMI. Ive never played with it before but what im reading is some roms have to be blurred for this to work properly. Im on Apex 1.4.1, 2.2.1 and would appreciate any advice.
The screen in Real HDMI reads as follows:

HDMI Status: Disabled
HDMI Detected: Yes
Rooted Features: Enabled
Liscence: Liscence Allowed

The top bar is green and says ON, but when i click it it just vibrates and nothing happens.

You need the motoblur gallery for the HDMI to work. It should be in the toolbox for ApeX.
In the terminal emulator app..
Type ...
su
apextoolbox

I downloaded the blur gallery, in the apex toolbox. Rebooted, but still nothing changed. i never knew about that little toolbox though. thanks for that. Any other suggestions?

now let me say that i am able to watch videos ect in the gallery and they play on the monitor, but im more concerned about getting the homescreen and what not.
