HDMI out to HDTV issues

I've seen some past posts on the Droidx forums and attempted to find the answer so if this has been asked before, sorry bout that. Webtop, Youtube and Netflix all seem to work fine, but for some reason Hulu and NFL Mobile will not display on my HDTV. Window pops up stating that the HDMI cable is plugged in, like it's an error. Disappointing for sure. I've seen one guy state that its a DRM thing. Others have suggested an app called Xternal Display but that is not compatible with the Razr on ICS. Any thoughts on why this is happening and any possible work arounds?

I would also love an answer to this. I have seen other state that it is an ICS issue as it had previously worked on the Gingerbread platform, but I am unable to confirm that myself.

I called Verizon and their techs tried to tell me it was a compatibility issue with the device, but he had to response when I informed him that it works for everything else other than the NFL mobile app.

I believe that these apps are blocked by the developer to not work via HDMI out to your TV. There may be a walk around but I'm sure it requires rooting and some other form of manipulation.
