Is there anyway to stream/play my movies i've downloaded to SD card with HDMI? I had a generic adapter when I had my Note 3 that worked great, but it's never worked on any tablet (Samsung Tab 3 and now LG G-pad V410)

The Tab 3 7.0 is not compatible with MHL adapters, although the 8.0 and 10.1 are--do you have the 7.0? Which MHL adapter does my Samsung Galaxy need?

The G Pad is not MHL-compatible. Your best bet would be to get a Chromecast and either use the Cast Screen function (if available on those tablets), or install Plex.

Its called a slimport adapter and you can buy them many places. The one is use is the cable matters slim port adapter and it plugs into your hdmi port on your tv and has an optional power connector for turtle charging.

Thanks for the replies fellas... I'm gonna try the slimport for the LG and/or get the chromecast too... worth a shot...

I know this is an older post, but B. Diddy is correct...that Slimport doesn't work with LG Pad 7.0 V410. I bought one and found out that it only works on 8.3. It stinks because I followed advice given by people like Sparkyman (people who make it sound like they know exactly what they're talking about, when they don't).

B. Diddy's answer was great because it was informative; however, he/she didn't say it was 100 percent correct--or imply that it was.

I use Chromecast for my LG Pad to stream videos, but not all apps are compatible with it. For those apps, I'd like to be able to use an HDMI adapter, but I don't wanna buy the wrong one...again.

Knightstalker, did you ever find one that worked?

Again, I know this is an old post, but I figured it was worth a shot.
