HDR+ on or off

I can't decide which gives generally better results. Sometimes HDR+ takes too long, but for still shots it seems to work well.

What do you all prefer?

Too long as in? to process? it has best in class processor and RAM :/

I take pics primarily to send via text. I prefer smaller size. I do like the image quality though.

I find that, generally speaking, HDR+ gives consistently better results unless there's moderately quick motion in the shot. HDR+ shines best in low light situations.

I use HDR unless an action shot then turn it off. Overall HDR has been better for my shots.

I wish HDR had an ability to add fill lighting if the light was very low. As it is now, HDR mode disables the flash completely. If it didn't do that, I'd never turn it off. The HDR mode is wonderful!

Wrong. HDR+ only takes better pictures in low indoor light. In outdoor natural light, it makes the picture worse.

Wrong. HDR+ increases the dynamic range of both low indoor light and outdoor natural light. A wider dynamic range brings the image closer to the very wide dynamic range of the human eye.

You are correct in as much as HDR doesn't always work. In photography in particular rules are made to be broken, often with great results. But the majority of the time HDR benefits any lighting situation where capturing a wider range of light more closely approximates what the eye sees.

That's just not my experience with this camera. I've spent a lot of time with HDR+ over the past several weeks, and, while I find the low light pictures to be excellent, I find that in daylight, it just makes everything too dark.
