Headphone jack auto dial?

Not sure if any one else has had this happen.but when I plug in headphones to my x it dials the last person that I talked to. Once its plugged in, if I turn it it will activate a different feature on the phone. This did happen on my old env3 but I didn't think anything of it since it was a dumb phone. Any ideas?

I have this same issue. Would like to bring it to the top.

With my headphones plugged in, the slightest wiggle causes it to either auto dial the last call or it activates voice commands.

This is seriously inconvenient because I put the phone in my pocket while riding my motorcycle and it interrupts my music and usually ends up calling my house.

Sounds like the connector for you headsets seems to be the wrong design. The headsets that usually have the handsfree button on it usually have three or four connection points the do the ear speakers, mic and the button. Your headsets sounds like a standard stereo headset that usually makes the connector for the button to get connected that causes the phone to think you pressed the button to make a call, try a diffrent phone headset.

I figured it was the specific headphones too, so I tried another pair and it gives me the same problem.

I do not have that problem. I am using Jabra Stereo Bluetooth Headsets. If you can try and see if the Bluetooth headset gives you the same problem. I just tried it with regular headphones in the jack and I still did not have the problem. I have an question are your phones rooted? If so that could be why. I have not rooted my phone.

my phone is not rooted, from what wildman said, when plugging in or turning the headphone connector in the jack it may be activating a feature what some headsets use, i.e. voice dial/auto dial.
I odn't think the issue is with the phone or headset due to the fact that it happened on my Origional Env and my Env3. it does not happen that much like 1 out of 100 but that 1 time it is real annoying
