Hearing a few people on the internet cry about it at the end of the day how many In the public really cared? From sales info given in article below and their finding of Apple gaining market share, at the end of the day doesn't seem like the public cared enough for it to be a deal breaker

Personally won't effect my phone purchase decision if my next phone, iPhone or S8 or Note 8 or any other android, has a jack or not.

I don't mind the loss of headphone jack, as long as there is a workable alternative that I don't have to pay for.

It's rare that I wished for 3.5mm jack.
