I need to replace my headphone jack and have a broken phone that's the same model as mine with a headphone jack that I'm pretty sure works. But I don't know how to salvage the headphone jack from the other phone and put it in my phone. Also I need to know the best way if possible.

You need to tell us the phone manufacturer and model.
There are lots of videos posted online that show how to do these things; some phones are pretty easy to disassemble and repair, other's are quite difficult without the correct tools and a level of dexterity that eludes many people.

This is for the K10 but it appears to be essentially the same as the K8.

I think I can assure you, it will not be different in why meaningful way as far as the jack is concerned. I looked at a couple of K8-V videos as well and they are the same in all respects; I chose the one above because it clearly shows how to pop the jack out.
