headphone sound after kitkat update

Anyone else noticed after the kitkat update the sound through headphones has changed? It used to be really bass'y but now it's gone and tinny instead.

Wish there were built in controls to adjust treble and bass

Apparently they lowered the Max volume in the update. Read it somewhere the other week
