Headset Bluetooth Media

My BT headset no longer connects as media - only for calls. This happened shortly before i replaced the S5 for the S7.
I've unpaired, re-paired, forgotten - I think I'vetried everything. The headset connects to my and my wife's car, and plays music with both as well. Just won't let me connect as Media to my phone. Any ideas on a fix?

Is any other Bluetooth device connected to the phone as a Media device? If so, it might be competing.

If you go to Settings>Bluetooth and tap the headset entry, is Phone Audio there, and is it checked on?
