Am I affected? I scanned with the McAfee heart bleed app and it said my android 4.4.2 (OS) is safe and have a vulnerable version of SSL but heart bleed is disabled. Does this mean I'm fine?

I'm confused though how was heart bleed disabled? Was it disabled in my operating system? Before the phone shipped or when I updated it to 4.4.2? I have yet to get 4.4.3 or 4.4.4
