Heart rate monitor always on?

I just got the Huawei watch from Amazon on Prime day and noticed that the 2 green leds on the back are always on? Is it supposed to be like that, or is there a setting to change that? Thanks!

Mine doesn't. The LEDs only go on when I select the heart rate function in Google Fit, but it goes off after it has measured. Do you have any other fitness apps installed and active? (BTW, I don't think the Huawei fitness apps keep the heart rate LED on either.)

It turned off. I think I had a app running crazy but it turned off. Thanks for the reply
