heat issue?

My tab s3 seems to get really hot. Most times over by the on/off squarish area. Tab s2 didn't have this problem on a regular basis.

Do you mean near the Home button, or by the Power button? Is the tablet running any processor-intensive apps at the time? Do you have the wi-fi only version, or the LTE version?

I haven't experienced any thermal issues with mine, even during marathon sessions of Angry Birds...

power button area and around left to middle of screen, gets very hot. sometimes hot enough to feel on front display and not just back. wi fi only. nothing intensive. today I was mainly on chrome researching about Costa Rica. froze few times. then black screen and after shut Down. battery around 60%. This has happened other times, not necessarily on chrome and sometimes charging battery at same time. only had s3 for about almost 2 months. Also notice it seems slower than my prior s2.

When it heats up like that, check the Settings>Battery menu -- does any app show that it's using an unusually large proportion of battery?

Also, see if this still happens in Safe Mode.
