Heating issue

Hi guys, new this forum. I have an LG G4 as well, and notice that it does get warm near the buttons and earpiece. I am not too sure if this would be considered hot, but what app are you guys using to determine the temperature level of the G4? Also, what temperature level is considered hot? Thanks!

BUMP. Anyone??

The most-thorough temperature-checking app I've tried is CPU-Z.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cpuid.cpu_z

But leave the units set to C, not F. It has a units-conversion error if displaying in F.

It displays the readings from a bunch of sensors. I think people have said that CPU-related readings up to 80C are still considered safe.

The only temperature I notice on a regular basis is the battery temperature, because GSam and Battery Monitor Widget display this reading. I will get readings up to maybe 105F (41C). But I don't regularly work that phone all that hard (no gaming; the biggest load would be navigation with the screen on).

One nice thing about Battery Monitor Widget is that it also logs the data, vs just displaying it live. You can export to Excel if you want.

warm sometimes when I've used it for awhile/some time but not heat. Compared to the temps Ive experienced with previous phones I think they were samsungs, this one is pretty good.
Now we just need to work on the lagging...

Yeah, I can't stand going into carriers stores. I have some good friends with ATT who take care of me. Happy to hear so far so good! I am just truly disappointed in the flagships right now and G4 seems to be the best bet. I just hate their skin, which I can take care of, I am looking at an unlocked version on ebay. Thanks again!!
