hi, guys

I myself currently use iphone6s plus, actually from year of 2011 to now, i have been using IOS system, but i found that Android system is much more open and can play a lot of things.

Next week, i am gonna buy an Android smart phone, someone tell me to choose hot talking google pixel 2, beautiful samsung S8, even Xiaomi mix2, for me these phone models are all worthy to try, but last few days i found a brand whose name is MEIGOO S8, appearance very similar to Samsung S8, it is maybe a chinese brand, the price is really cheap, i don't know if i should have a try about it.

can you give me some suggestions?
thank you

Welcome. :)

We may be able to, but we’d need to know the main features you’re looking for in a phone.

Hello and welcome to the forums at Android Central!

All the latest phones, especially the high end ones are great. But it all depends on what you need it for.

I personally like Samsung products and am using the Note 8 now. But I hear many good things about the Pixel phones.

I have seen a few people on YouTube using the Doogee phones and they really like them. Especially the price!
But don't know anything about Meigoo.

Like belodion, I also suggest you give us more info to better help you.

Welcome to the forums. I would look at either the Pixel 2 or the Samsung S8. In all honesty, I would recommend the Pixel 2. That might be the closest thing to the Apple devices you are used to.

Welcome to the forums! If you are switching platforms from Apple to Android, then I too would recommend the Pixel 2; as it is stock Android, which would make the transition easier. And, since it's stock Android, you'll get to experience pure Android and no manufacturer bloatware or "add-ons" that others throw into their OS experience.

Welcome to Android Central! I'd avoid the cheap Chinese knockoffs -- they're more likely to have quality issues with software and/or hardware.

Don't get fakes. It only looks like it, but performance is very different

As you can see on the 8:30 mark, the benchmark on the thing only achieves a score of 24000, but the real S8 reaches up to 168000. It's going to be really slow. For comparison, my Tab 4 which was launched 4 years ago gets a benchmark score of about 20000. So that fake S8 is maybe as fast as the peformance in an iPhone 4S or a Galaxy S4.
