Hello,

I'm a wanna-be geekette thirsty for knowledge. With all the info I learn from real geeks and geekettes I hope to be able to help others as I have been helped. With that said, of course I have a problem.

I have a Samsung Replenish (SPH-M580, Gingerbread FA19) phone and after my last firmware update (about a week ago - I now have Android 2.3.6) I can no longer scroll the image on my homescreen. I can, however, scroll everywhere else I need to. I spoke to a Sprint Rep who walked me through resetting the phone by turning it off and then on again. She also had me go to settings and do the 4 updates there (firmware, Samsung Software, Profile and PRL). Nothing has helped. It seems to me that Samsung has changed the homescreen scrolling feature because prior to the upgrade the icons would scroll along with the background image but now the image is stuck and only the icons move (not scroll) now by pushing those 4 little dots at the bottom of the screen. This is also a problem to me because I can no longer see the entire screen of my live wallpapers and if you've ever seen the Parallax Winter wallpaper you know what I mean when I say I cannot see the snowman nor the log cabin anymore. One last problem is that the update replaced some of the original wallpapers with new ones and now I no longer have the Autumn Live Wallpaper where the leaves fall into the water and make ripples and if you touch the water you make ripples. I have searched hard to find it again on the web but every one I find now is not the same. Please, any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated. Sorry for being so long-winded.

Welcome to the forums. The wallpaper scrolling thing might be an option you can select in settings--> display. If that doesnt work, you can also try a replacement home launcher like Launcher pro or ADW Ex. They have options for the scrolling wallpapers as well.
