So here we go, I just got a precedent today off ebay and i've never had a droid before, this phone is awesome so far. I keep hearing things about rooting I don't really understand what it is and what do I need to do it? I got a 16gb micro sd card and a sd card reader I think I have a usb reader, so I might try this out. Right now i'm really frustrated cause some of the stuff I tried to do like crackle and justin.tv you have to update your flash and it says my phone isn't compatible which really ticks me off.

So if anyone can explain this stuff to me i'd appreciate it. And also, why would I want wi-fi tether? I have my wifi running off of my wireless and i'm on the unlimited straight talk plan

DroidHost on the androidarea51 forums can help you get rooted.he created a rom for the precedent that rivals and in some ways outclassed cyanogenmod.:thumbup:
