Hi, I'm a complete newbie to android and smart phones in general... had a cell for years.... texted occasionally... made/received calls and that's about it.. I decided I wanted to get in on the smart phone bandwagon. I knew I wanted to stay on Verizon (my wife has an iPhone and her coverage is... well... let's just say less than stellar)... so I did a bit of research and then picked up a Samsung Fascinate a few months ago. As a software engineer I'm excited about the 'openness' of Android (vs something like an iPhone) and already I have a few tasks on my TODO list:
(1) remove bing in favor of google search
(2) remove vz navigator in favor of google maps
