i rooted my s3 and i want to put cm10.1 . i havent activated my phone into service yet and was wondering if i put cm on it before i activate it, will i not be able to activate it later when my sim comes in.

There may not be a problem, but I suggest using the phone a few days as it comes to get the feel for it. It may surprise you and you may not want to change roms.
