Help a Windows phone customer decide on a phone

So I've been a Windows phone user fan for many years, however more and more of the apps I use are being dropped from that platform. To further complicate things my company (who pays my phone bill) is telling me they want me to move from T-Mobile to Verizon (their preferred carrier). So I'm stuck having to decide on a new phone. I've been able to narrow the list down to 3 choice's one of which is not an Android phone, but I'm hoping you guys / girls will help be decide what is best for me. My choices are:

Motorola Z Force - Motorola phones seem to run hot
Samsung Note 7 - Not sure I like / trust the edge design however. I've seen a lot of threads here about earlier edge devices cracking screens.
IPhone 6s Plus - Its Apple, its boring, but it works.

Both my son and my wife are Apple fans, so there is some incentive there. However my company has gone Google and since I will be managing my corporate e-mail account (google), need access to my google drive, and calendar this would seem to be more the way to go with the fewest issues. Now I haven't owned an Android phone since the original G1 and HTC Slide. I see a lot of talk about Androids slowing down after months of use, etc. Is this still an issue?

I haven't had any issues with Androids slowing down at all. I've never done a factory data reset other than on devices that I was giving away.

Did you get any mods for the Z Force?

Compared to real life, people complaining their edge screens cracking it very little. Like 1 out of 10.000 people. What you see in the forums are very minority of peoples.

People tend to go to forums to complain, seek for advice on their problems. My family uses around 9 samsung devices with edge screens and none of em cracked.

Good luck with the moto z! Its a great phone! Heat on thin devices is a problem, but still bearable. My S6 edge gets quite warm just by typing this-_- for me, i would've choose the note 7.

Not yet, the cooperate site I have to use for purchases didn't include any. I am already looking at the battery mod, but will hold off for a short time to see how the phone's battery lasts.

Congratulations on ordering your Moto! That's a good choice.

No, I have not experienced my Android devices slowing down over time. Plus, with the software updates, usually things run even better when they get installed. :)

Welcome aboard the Android ship! :)

Well, i took a shot in the dark and ordered the Moto z force.

Welcome to Android! The Moto is an interesting device. I think they properly implemented mods as opposed to LG with the G5.

People tend to go to forums to complain, seek for advice on their problems.

To elaborate, people very rarely go on a forum just to say they have no issues. They may reply to inquiries about how people like it, but it's not like they start threads about it.

Thanks for the replies and info. My phone should arrive today (fingers crossed), so I'm looking forward to jumping in and trying to get it set-up. I'm sure I'll have more questions for the forum as I dig deeper.

We're more than happy to help! Enjoy your new phone!! :)

I think the note 7 would be a good choice because it fast, have a good camera, and comes with some Microsoft apps.

I have a Droid Turbo 2. I like Moto. Biggest complaint with the DT2 is it's a little too big for me (and Z is bigger), camera is substandard but decent -- solved with Z, no fingerprint reader - solved with Z, and it runs HOT. Not sure if the Z does.

No Z for me. It's even bigger than the already too big DT2. And call me old fashion, but I want a headphone jack.

Hopefully the New Google phone 5 inch won't be crippled like the 5x is. And I hope it comes with a headphone jack.

Well, IMHO you made the right choice, but then again I'm biased against crApple and Samsuck. The moto mods, who knows, they might be worth investing on, or they might end up as overpriced novelty items, but the idea has potential and execution seems reasonable
