As I wrote yesterday I'm new to HTC one, slowly I'm getting used to it, but 1 major issue I have is that the Bluetooth quality is terrible, big bass and sometimes impossible to hear the others voice over Bluetooth, am I the only one? Any advice?

Actually, the Bluetooth works great for me with my headset and streaming to my Bluetooth speakers. I have a jawbone era headset and 2 Anker Bluetooth speakers as well as an lg sound bar and all sound great. I did notice that the less expensive Bluetooth headsets had some static but after testing various ones it seems the better quality headset the better the sound. I did the same test with my HTC DNA and got the same results. So definitely not the phone, barring you have a defect...

I have the same problem when I connect to my car the sound is horrible....I tried playing with the equalizer on poweramp app. We'll see how it sounds tomorrow morning.

I am also new to HTC one, and I am having the same problem as you. I use a Motorola Elite Flip and it worked flawlessly with my HTC Incredible, however since upgrading to the One, it's works horribly. Sounds quality is virtually non-existent - people tell me it's all scratchy and hollow sounding, or they can't understand me at all.

LG Tone+'s have excellent sound quality on my One, both ways.

I had been loving my HTC One until I started a new job and had to use a bluetooth headset for calls...had Plantronics Backbeat Go, but people complained of the sound quality on the calls so I did some research and bought a Jawbone ERA. The Jawbone was super comfortable but the sound quality on both ends was terrible, so I returned it. Got the replacement...but still terrible. So my company bought me a Plantronics Voyager Legend UC. This thing is crystal clear used via the USB dongle with Lync, and crystal clear paired via Bluetooth to my old iPhone 4....but terrible with the HTC One. I've done a lot of forum post reading and there is some speculation that this will be solved when they roll out Android 4.3, but HTC says they have no plan to do this in Australia at present, so I'm stuck holding my phone to my head getting brain cancer all day.

What really annoyed me was the support person sitting in India for HTC told me to provide the "Bluetooth Profile" for the headset or she couldn't help me. When I asked her to be more specific (what is a bluetooth profile) she just kept saying to ask the manufacturer for the bluetooth profile, otherwise she couldn't solve my problem.

Suggestions?

If you aren't playing music through the internal speakers then turn off Beats Audio. I use my One with my car and with two different Bluetooth speaker sets and the audio quality is great.

If you're having serious problems try a factory reset and see if that helps. If not here could be a hardware issue, but this seems like it's probably software related.

Just in the past two days my HTC One will no longer connect to my HMDX speaker. Not sure but this has started happening only after I connected my wife's iPod to the same speaker. The One no longer even shows the speaker in the available devices. I am doing everything I did when it was working, only now it is not working.

Have you tried removing the device from the One and repairing?

Adrian,

Thanks for the suggestion. I have already tried that. No luck.
