Hello all,

I have a Thunderbolt and have been getting everything going and tested out. I have not rooted it yet, but today I had a chance to test the "free"(until May 15th) hotspot feature from Verizon. All worked well and I am moving towards the root in the very near future...maybe after the OTA update that is being mentioned.

My problem is....I have a webpage I set up a year ago. It has some pictures and a soundtrack that plays....no big deal. It works better with IE8,9 etc., but will also open and play with firefox, which is what I mostly use.

Today, I went to the site with my TB, it loaded, but no sound, and I could NOT save (bookmark) the URL. Every time I tried to either bookmark or "copy" the url, IE would shut down.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I need to install to hear the sound?
And why I can not bookmark or even copy/paste the url before ie on the TB closes.

The URL is GJS

I created it using Photoshop and bridge...so maybe it is some adobe app that I need...etc.

Thanks in advance.

I was able to bookmark using dolphin hd browser but was unable to get any sound while playing. Not sure there is an app that would be able to play the sound but I could be wrong.

Thanks for giving it a try.

I webpage has the embedded Windows media player WMP in it (if you go to the link with a regular pc) you will see the normal pause/play/stop buttons for the player. Then the flash just cycles through the pictures. Neither the auto play (song) or "slideshow" seem to work with android.

Anyone else have any ideas? The webpage is just some family photos in a slideshow with a music player built in....nothing fancy... Link is in first post.

I could bookmark. It using the stock Android browser and the slideshow played by I got no sound is there a play and pause button for the sound

Play is automatic....the WMP is embedded, and yes, my TB shows a small blue box at the bottom of the page....my guess is that is the player controls. If you open the webpage on a regular computer, you will see the player in the center middle. (may have to install the MS plugin). Every time I try to bookmark the page (stock TB), IE crashes....

The page is trying to install the Windows Media Player Add-On for Internet Explorer. That would not be posible with the Android browser.

I just installed Firefox. When I loaded the page using FF, I got an add plugin. Touched and it took me to Adobe Flash page...were I was informed that Adobe flash was not supported on this platform or browser. (not sure if they (adobe) was referring to android or firefox)

FrankXS....you are right...but if I may ask, why would you not be able to install a media player add-on in IE. I figured that was more a feature of IE and not android.

I was addressing the OP's concern that the page was not working on the ThunderBolt, not IE. I imagine you could install it fine in IE. I dunno... I didn't. But I was prompted to do so in IE to get the full functionality of the page. Which ain't gonna happen on the ThunderBolt.
