HELP! Changing from Verizon to Tmobile Prepaid?

I am planning to change from verizon to T-mobiles Prepaid $30 plan.
But I have these questions:
Is the Droid Razr compatible with t-mobile?~~ I know tmobile runs on GSM and the Driod razr can switch from CDMA to GSM, will that work?

Will I be able to port my current Verizon number on the new Tmobile prepaid plan?

Please can anyone answer these questions.

I do not believe it is compatible. Just because it runs on gsm doesn't mean it's automatically compatible. It needs to have the same frequencies as Tmobile's radios. And what do you mean switch from CDMA to GSM? That's not even possible... because they are different technologies.

Yes you can port your number as long as you're not in a contract with Verizon.
Keep in mind that the plan you are seeking is web only. (unless you're talking about the 1500 minute or text plan...) So fastest and easiest way to get it is to buy the cheapest tmobile prepaid phone with a sim kit inside go home, get online activate it and choose that plan and take out the sim and put it in your gsm phone.
