Hey there,

I'm constantly battling low internal drive space on my Tab S (I'll NEVER buy another 16GB internal drive device), but this question should also pertain to my S6.

When I go into my "Storage" settings, I have the option to clear my cache with one click. I'd like to use this function to clear off my cached browsing, imgur, etc., but my concern is my games.

1) If I clear the cache, will I lose my saved game data?
2) Will I lose any settings for any apps?

1. No.
2. No.

Clearing the cache won't change any of those things. The cache files sometimes get corrupted, and cause the system to slow down. It's not something to do frequently.

Cache is just the phone storing little bits of info about what you did last on the browser for example, so that the next time the device remembers and will go back to that place faster.
Not to be confused with clearing DATA, which will see all your details deleted. So if you clear words with friends cache, it may be a bit slower to reload next time. If you clear data (in the app) you will have to sign back in again and set up the game from scratch.
Another thing, just to confuse you is the cache partition wipe, which is the cache for the device software. Also a good thing to do at times. Also wont lose any of your info....
