Hey guys,
I've been dawdling in the land of CyanagenMod 6.1RC2 since its release; I love it. Stock android just has this, I don't know, less cluttered feel to it than Sense has every had for me. Plus the Browser (chrome-lite, if you will) is significantly better than Sense's version, IMHO.
However, battery life is just not as good as I think it should be, even with moderate use, juicedefender, low clock speed, etc. So, I'm going back to Virtuous (which had the best battery life for me), and want to make it as Stock as possible while keeping the elements I really like.
Anyways, these are my questions. Thanks to anyone who can answer anything:
Is there a download link for the Stock Android 2.2 browser? If not, can I rip it out of CM6? How?
Is there a download for most of the other stock Android apps (such as Gallery, etc.)?
If I decide to remove all of thebloatware social media integration in Sense, what else will I need to do to ensure stability?
And, last but not least, is this worth it? I'm halfway doing this as a way to learn more of Android, too, so that may be one motive.
Thanks for any help!
