HELP! Double Bricked LG Optimus Chat

Okay so I was helping my friend root her optimus chat. Since it is a fairly unpopular android phone, it took me awhile to find a way to root it.
I followed the steps here and installed the ginger break.

It successfully rooted and i could see the super user app.

I downloaded ROM manager and selected a different device since there was no option for the lg optimus chat ( LG c550) then clicked backup current rom and BOOM. That was my first brick.

The phone went into a bootloop with the LG screen and after some extensive research i found that I could put it into emergency mode by holding the POWER button + Q button.

This brings me to a yellow screen that says emergency mode.

After getting that, I tried to unbrick the phone using the KDZ updater to port a new rom into the phone, at this point I didnt care about putting a different rom in, i just needed the phone to turn back on.


I kept searching for kdz roms and finally got one to work but realized later that it the firmware for the wrong phone. This is what the program said:

After that, the phone remained in emergency mode so i decided I would try again since i finally found the orginal firmware using this lg original firmware program I found on XDA. I unplugged the phone from the computer and then wallah. SECOND BRICK..


The phone is now completely unresponsive to anything I do. None of the buttons work, I can no longer put it in emergency mode. SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DOO :'(​

Trying to load a rom from a different phone was a bad mistake, if you didn't make a backup and can't get into emergency or recovery, I am afraid at this point you are screwed.

Never use ROM manager. And NEVER flash a ROM that isn't for your specific device.
Your phone is most likely done for......sorry man.

Afaik you permanently bricked your friends phone. I'm sorry. Hopefully they have insurance on it and can just claim stolen. You pay their deductable and they get a new phone. I know your intentions were good but you should have read more. I'm sure your friend will never root their phone again because of your lack of reading... its okay though.... just make it right with them and don't do that again.
