Help Files?

okay - so I am a noob trying to figure out my new Hero. I am reading a lot about "Rooted" or ???? Not to mention some of the "ROMs" and what to do w/those! LOL I am totally lost...

Is there a good help file/?? something that would be able to walk me through all of this stuff?

I'm pretty good w/computers - but guess I'm just totally lost when it comes to this stuff. Would really like to take full advantage on what appears to be a great phone so far!

Maybe - just maybe if I can figure out what all this is about I can get my Hero up to 2.1 ver....

This is where i would start.Get root then you can flash and restore/all that good stuff.

Just in case... What is meant by "Root my phone" ???

It is basically giving yourself administrator privilege on the phone allowing you to change what ever you want as far as the operating system goes.

Linux calls Administrator "Root"
