Help! Galaxy S6 Edge completely frozen

This morning for no apparent reason, my S6 Edge has completely locked up.

The blue light on the top of the screen is flashing like I have a notification, but no matter I can't get the screen on or restart the phone.

I've tried the power button and volume down keys for over a minute, and nothing happens.

I have never dropped this phone and it's not rooted, stock Verizon.

When I plug the phone into my PC, nothing happens, the PC doesn't even recognize something is plugged into it.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Help! Galaxy S6 Edge completely frozen

It's Power + Home + Volume Down. For about 10 or 15 seconds. Then select to boot normally, which is the default.

I have tried that, and every other button combination possible to no avail. I'm at a complete loss to what is happening.

I think I'll be making a trip to verizon during lunch to swap it

OK. I only said that because your original post says power and volume down. No mention of "home". ;)

Thanks a million!

I had the same problem this morning [10 July 2016] with my Galaxy NotePro 12.2.

Your suggestion solved the problem.

Couldn't be happier!

I'm having the same issue with my S6 - absolutely no response from to anything! Did you find a solution?

Re: Help! Galaxy S6 Edge completely frozen

What I'd do with this problem is let the phone run out of battery itself.. It could take days on end but if the LED is flashing and the screen is still on then it won't be running on some sweet miracle.
