[HELP]get my epic over to cdma network on boost

I am seeking assistance on my epic. I received this phone and had a guy put it onto boost for me(for a fee of course) and when I got it back I noticed that the data speeds where not that great. I took it to this guy so that I would make sure I would have 3g. After running some speed tests the highest I am recieving is 329kb Wich means he didnt set me up on the cdma network and I am on the iden side. Do you know how to get this to cdma. I have read many threads but still not clear on it do to so many different explanations My phone still shows the 3g symbol but I am certain that this is not cdma and the guy wont fix it for me. I know that I need a boost cdma phone and but am lost and upset that I shelled out money to have it done right and got screwed. Any imput on this matter would be great. Thanks so much!.
