help-HDMI cable doesn't fit TV-how do I fix it?

I have a hisense smart TV, and a Galaxy S5 , I purchased the MHL adaptor and HDMI cable, I have it all hooked up but the HDMI cable doesn't fit in any of my holes in the TV..... am I missing a piece??

Are you sure you have the correct HDMI cable types? As with most tech things, the "standard" of HDMI has 3 sub-types, none of which fits the other. Type "A" is the type you usually see, while Type "B" is a mini version. Type "C" is in-between the other 2 sizes. If it turns out the TV has an HDMI port of one of these other sizes, you'll need to get an adaptor cable.
