Help! I don't know what I did!

I really don't know what I did it how to rectify it. I have a gs3 and every time I hit the power button two things happen
1. In the top left corner it says "recovery booting"
2. It then says " software system not authorized by Verizon wireless has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest Verizon wireless store for help".

I'm trying to learn about androids and I am stuck. Please help

Did you attempt to root the phone?

If the phone can't even boot to recovery without and error, then it might be best to visit one of the Verizon stores to see if they can help you directly.

I had the phone rooted. And I went to boot a new os and I forgot to unlock it. How do I fix it without going to Verizon?

Yah, I doubt Verizon would help you anyways with a rooted phone.

Not sure how to fix your problem. The only advice I can give you is visit XDA and post your question there. It'll be much better then here in the general help section.
