help! I just bought this phone! is it real?

Hi - I bought this phone on ebay without checking into it enough. Now I notice the pictures of the phone I bought look a lot different than the other internet pictures of Samsung GS5's. Anyone recognize this model? The description called it a SM G900 with no letter at the end and said it was for AT&T.

This is definitely not a genuine Galaxy S5. Could tell it right away.

And there should be SM-G900A written on it if it's really for an AT&T variant.

Definitely a fake. You can tell by the lock screen: it is a poor combination of Android and iPhone. Additionally, the screen resolution is too low to be an S5. I am sure that phone was not even made by Samsung.

Ouch... Yep its a screaming Fake from China (they actually have much better looking copies now almost indistinguishable at first glance).
Ebay will refund your purchase

EDIT to add. You'll be wanting the SM G900A for at&t. I purchased one of my S5's off of ebay you just have to do your research and research and research
Buy from well-established sellers with a spectacular reputation and you're usually going to be ok but research is paramount and asking questions if unsure is a must on the bay...

The fact that it does not have an A at the end of the model number let's you know it is fake..

Cmon... just by glancing at the picture you can already tell its not the real thing.
Good news is that eBay has a very straightfoward refund policy so you should be ok.

What initially clued me in was the other picture with the headphone jack on the bottom. I wish I would have looked closer. I hope I can return it with no hassle. I've already asked the seller about it and he was not very happy about me wanting to return it.

wow - I received the fake phone yesterday - I was even worse than the pictures. The back and menu indicators on the front were actual clickable mechanical buttons! Terrible piece of junk. The ebay seller has approved my return request and I mailed directly back the same day I got it. Now to hopefully get a refund.

You will, or PayPal will force one - you have a 45 day window of protection if he doesn't refund your cash in a couple days at the most. he'd better refund you immediately when he receives the phone back.

Dave you can also download the app Genuine Galaxy from the App store, if it isn't on your istalled App list already. That will tell you if fake or not.
