I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a galaxy s5 model number samsung-sm-G900A, baseband version G900AUCU2ANG3. My carrier is AT&T and I live in the states. And I can't get my phone to update. Which is now I think giving me problems with other apps such as being able to login on snapchat, SSO not working for Facebook not allowing me to sync it to my phone and contacts.....etc. Every time I try and update my phone it will download the update (so it says) then it will restart my phone. After restart I see the Samsung logo and under it installing update. Then after it is done the phone starts up showing me my lock screen, I open to my home screen, a few seconds pass, then I get a message saying, install interrupted. EVERY TIME!!!! Please help!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forums. You have a couple options:

1. You can try to flash the update yourself.
2. You can see if AT&T can update it for you.
3. Some Best Buy locations have Samsung centers in them that may also be able to do this
4. Depending on where you live, there may be a Samsung center nearby that can do this too.

If I had to suggest, I would say option 2 or 3. That leaves you out of the picture for being at fault in case something goes wrong.

I would assume that if they can force the update to go through, to back up everything important you don't want to lose; contacts (if not already synced to Google), pictures, videos, etc. A forced ROM flash will be like a factory reset.

To update the AT&T model of Galaxy S5, G900A, to Android 5.1.1, you will need between 6GB- 7GB of free space on your phone's internal memory otherwise the installation will fail. This is because AT&T are, yet again, expanding the system partition in this release with a view to adding more bloatware in a future update. After this update you will have 1.5GB less of phone storage than the normal Samsung phones worldwide. See, also, Att update to 5.1

Also, the phone will not update if it is rooted, as yours may well be as you are still on the old KitKat firmware, and you also need to be registered on the AT&T network to receive the update.
