I have this problem, everytime i like to search something on Play Store this happen to me. :-( I have a Nexus 7(2012) and the same problem. :-(

Anyone know what happens?

It's possible that is a location based restriction on the app in the play store. What country are you located in? Some apps are restricted to or from specific countries.

Never experienced this before but if you can find the QR code you can use the QR Scanner to download it.
