Title says it all. I have wiped the cache, tried it in airplane mode, plugged in/on battery, everything. Almost always around the 90 k mark. Is my phone defective somehow?

No. Antutu is stupid. Don't bother with that stuff. Just use your phone as you normally should.

You don't think some hardware might be defective? Everyone seems to hit in the 135k range yet mine is struggling to hit 90k. I was wondering if there was a way to see if it is throttling or something.

Well I got 128K first time test (they are normally faster second time for some reason...) But honestly I wouldn't be bothered, as long as everything works OK in the real world...

This is a synthetic test. Apps you have installed, settings you have set, and processes in the background will contribute to the outcome. Mostly to the negative.

The best way to run it is on a clean phone. No apps, everything turned off, and no background processes running. So to get the best score, reset your phone, turn everything off, and rerun the benchmark.

My s7 edge scored a total of 133202 and the biggest difference compared to your individual scores is that mine scored 56,596 on the 3D test (ux scored 39808 and cpu scored 30,711). Do you have power saving settings turned on in game launcher? If so, I wonder if that might be causing it to throttle down performance in this test.

Nope. No power saving anything turned on. No power saving apps at all. Hell not a whole lot of apps.

I hit 120s but I have bare minimal on mine. I'm also under wifi that could be a difference

I notice looking at the scores you have two different models links, perhaps one 820 and the other is exynos?

This is my result. It is an unlocked phone in the UK so doesn't suffer the bloatware of US models.

Put your phine in the freezer for like 5 minutes lol. Seriously though, I ts heat that determines your score, my 6P on geekbench ranges from 4000 to 5300 !! Which is nearly the same as the s7e but the snapdragon 810 is a heat machine and it being idle is in the 80-90s compared to the edge at like 70-80 and hasnt ever hit 100 degress F. 6p hit 120 before...

LOL really...sure call the phone defective and send it back. I'd really like to know what they say when you tell them the reason.
