help needed for my SAMSUNG GALAXY S2

hi all im new to this as ive just bought my first s2 but its currently running 2.3.5 and i dunno how to update it to ics i have tried kies but don't think am having any luck because when ever i try and update witch it says i have an update. when it stars i get a lil box saying notice - cancel - ok :/ witch i don't know what to do can anyone help like i said i am new to this its locked to the three network MODEL NUMBER GT-I9100 i am not sure about flashing because i have not got a clue please help me :/:/ sorry for my bad english

Try downloading rom from site and install using odin process. ..
